Canaan Knapp is a civil litigation attorney representing non-profits entities, public agencies, and private companies in areas of employment, civil rights, torts, and contracts. His prior experience as a certified legal intern for the City of Oceanside, California, includes working on cases involving excessive force by police, dangerous conditions of public property, and appeals of administrative rulings.
Canaan is a graduate of California Western School of Law, where he received high honors and served as chair of the Student Conference Fund Committee. He earned his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from California State University San Marcos.
Canaan was born and raised in Oceanside, California. He grew up working as an Ocean Lifeguard for Camp Pendleton Military Base and a Ski Patroller for Big Bear Mountain Resort. Canaan credits much of his work ethic and focus to his many years working as a frontline first responder. When Canaan is not skiing or surfing on his free time, he enjoys mountain biking with his dog and hanging out with his wife and family.
